PinoyWindowsMobile.net now has RSS feeds active.

Know what's happening at PinoyWindowsMobile through your favorite newsreader. This has just been implemented so do give me feedback on how it's performing.

You can access the subscription page through http://www.pinoywindowsmobile.net/forum/smartfeed_url.php

Provides RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom 1.0 customized newsfeeds. Users select forums they want using a web page.

Hmmm... make sure you select the correct output type though...

It will output to Atom1.0 or RSS 2.0 etc.

See if your RSS reader is compatible.

Most RSS readers should work with it...

Why don't you try Egress or pocketRSS

pocketRSS seems to support more versions... just a thought.

the RSS feed is empty when i added it to live.com. but when i examined the XML, may feed content naman. hmm... weird. I guess its because the RSS URL is server generated. Not the usual simple URL with the ".rss" suffix.

Ill try to see if it could be viewed in IE 7.

you're supposed to go to the link and fill out your preferences and then it will give you a URL which contains your configurations. Enter the URL generated in rss control panel

Are you sure?

I tried it at live.com and it works. I'm still on IE6 Version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

funny, i did see some feeds at live, but when i clicked it to view on the default feed reader of ie7, it shows empty. i think the rss is erased when viewed or refreshed. ill try chaning the rss settings again and see if there are any changes.

maybe later on, we could just have predefined rss settings which users can just click on a button on the page.

I think this is possible... If I can generate a predefinied feed I may be able to make it available for everyone. But the nince thing about this module we're using is that it allows each user to configure their own viewing preference including the specific forums and posts.

I just had to tweak some code for this module to trim down the data. Scrapped the signature field and fixed the smilies for sites which hate relative URLs... (the original code used a relative URL for the smilies that's why they wouldn't appear...)

Ran it through FEED Validator and it returned a valid feed for RSS2.0
