HP iPaq 612c (How to turn off the dictionary in texting)

Hi! I'm using iPaq 612c, I hope you could help me with the following questions:

1.) How could I turn off the dictionary so I could send sms similar to other phone (such as Nokia).

2.) Can I upgrade the winmo 6.0 to 6.1

In a text window, tap the keyboard icon>> drop down menu>> options >> choose word completion tab >> uncheck suggest words when entering text>> tap ok

Hi, thank you for your reply. I already did that but still it gives suggestions thus I can't do the texting/sms similar to nokia using the keypad. I heard there is an installer needed to fix this but have not found it yet. As of now I'm using the keyboard in the touchscreen in sending sms thus it takes a while before i could reply or send sms as i have to tap each letter

.... see above (jayteecie). no resolution. have to install something pa, in order to disable... will work on this.

YES, you can, im running a WM6.5.3 rom on my iPaq 612c. BUT it will require a little bit of techie/flashing knowledge (since this is a cooked rom), just a little. upgrading also eliminates some of the hiccups of WM6.0 Smile
