Hi everybody!

Before I got my very 1st PPC I am a PDA user (Palm), however, I recently got the strong urge to get a PDA fone and get to try the feel of having both a fone and a PDA. One of the biggest decision to make is which one? Palm based or Windows-based.

May 22, 2007 I got myself a Samsung i600 at Sm MOA which now serves as my baptism to Windows-based mobile gadgets.

May 23, I have to take an early flight to go down south of the Manila and again got my very first experience in getting internet access with my i600 phone (via wi-fi). Connection was a breeze while having a tuna fish dinner in a restaurant that offers free wi-fi access.

Please advice this newbie on what essential appz to install on my new toy:

1. I like to log my daily activities;
2. I like watching videos on the go;(please direct me to the sites where I can download TCPMP-been trying all day but can't get through it)
3. It would be nice to do write asome document while away from the office;
4. I like reading ebooks;

Thanks a lot and i'll await your posts.

and

AAC Plugin of TCPMP

PPC has a built-in Pocket Word for that.

You can DL the Pocket Adobe Reader for free and google some e-books.

@korben-can't seem to find pocket word. A little more of your assistance will be appreciated.

@josh818- Quite surprised with our names having the same suffix numbers. Thanks for the welcome.

I don't think the i600 OS came prebundled with Pocket Word and Pocket Excel. (big time bummer to!).

Well, thanks anyway bro. Maybe there's a freeware out there I can google to do my docs.

It's actually Microsoft's doing.
All Smartphone OS does not have pocket word and excel.
But my Samsung i320 has a viewer app.
You need to buy Documents to Go for smartphone.

I've recently bought the same unit last week.
I read in some topics that an office6 module from wm6 was extracted and ported to be used in wm5.
Sorry, I can't remember where exactly I read it but according to users it was running on their wm5 device.

Docs to Go for Smartphones definitely had a lot of features compared to Office Mobile for Windows Mobile Smartphones. Word and Excel Mobile cannot let you create documents from scratch, not unless you edit a saved document. and ang daming kulang in terms of features.

but if you're able to get a copy of Office Mobile, then having it is better than not having a way to create and edit documents at all.

I agree... I just hope that Microsoft sees the importance of being able to create documents on a mobile device such as smartphones.
