Anyone using Mapking or Garmin? Do you have maps in the Philippines? I only have the map in Metro Manila? How about other place(s)?

slightly OT:
try the Mighty Minds Singapore guide. the guide has a map of Singapore but it's just a static map.not to be used with gps. the guide has installers for ppc, smartphone and symbian phones. sold in most bookstores (times, popular, etc) and even in Fairprice.

I'm also using Mapking. Manila map is also not updated. I passed by DaFort the other day and the streets in the Mapking Map were all messed up. Some flyovers are also not updated. Nevertheless, the mapking can get you where u want to go here in Metro Manila. There no assurance though that the directions will be the shortest possible as of this time

Korben is now working on a way to create our own map. hehehe Laughing

Questions about mapking for Manila:

1. Up to where yng coverage ng maps? Bulacan? Laguna?

2. Does it do routing like garmin/Tom tom. Bale it can route you via highway (fastest time) or via shortest distance options?

3. Can I use it for multiple device? PDA/phone and my laptop?

1. I think its only for Metro Manila (i.e. Quezon city, makati, pasig, pasay, caloocan, manila, etc). Im from Antipolo and the map is only up to Ortigas ext (Ever Gotesco).

2. It has Routing options for Shortest route, recommended, Motorway preferred or avoided but since the streets are not that updated, the routing can be wrong (shortest or fastest). Laughing

Korben can probably help you out for more details.

I think Mapking is pretty good for metro manila. The problem is that although it is apparently the most useful here, it is not that complete.

Yes, MapKing is good. However, the manila map has limited features. Too bad that there's no available map for the provinces. Maybe I'll try to use the VITO Navigator w/ the Phils(vtm) map when I get there.
