For starters, you can find a bunch of freeware for the Pocket PC from the Pocket PC Freeware site.

Another one is FreewarePPC.com.

There is another site I frequented before. They listad down almost all the apps available for the Pocket PC. It still gets updated until now but I'm not sure of how updated they are. It's the English version of PocketPC.cz called Pocket PC for All.

And if you guys are into games, one of our pet projects since we started on the PPC platform is an "emulator" of Transport Tycoon Deluxe for the Pocket PC. Its free (as long as you own the original game because you'll need its data files) and you can find it at http://www.esoftinteractive.com/openttd.html. Smile

a couple of freewares that may interest you:

1. Metro- (for those who are fond of travelling)

Métro is your free guide on PDA (Palm, PocketPC, Smartphone...) to public transport systems worldwide (more than 350 cities covered now).

http://nanika.net/Metro/

2. TodayAgenda

TodayAgenda - Description (for PocketPC)

TodayAgenda displays appointments and tasks on your today screen up to 30 days in advance. It replaces the default Outlook plugin with a lot of more features.

Functions:

* View appointments (including location) up to 30 days in advance
* View tasks (include status) up to 30 days in advance
* View current day and time
* Open tasks and appointments from your today screen
* "Complete" tasks via context menu on your today screen
* Create new appointments and tasks via context menu on your today screen
* Delete appointments and tasks
* Open calendar, task list and time/alarm settings (tap and tap'n'hold on the TodayAgenda icon or clock)
* Anniversary function: for all day, free, yearly appointments without end date the years since the beginning are displayed
* collapse/expand days and task list (double click onto day/task header)

http://tiews.info/index.php?show=software%2Ftodayagenda&lang=en

just tried it a while ago and per my initial impression, it's better than calplus since it also shows your tasks on the today screen Smile

btw, here's the link for calplus...yup, it's freeware. have been using it ever since and haven't encountered any problems:

thanks for the link!

it seems to have started in only a few days. first, it takes longer to load the today plugin. after a time, i couldn't even sync my contacts/appointments/etc.

probably, it has a conflict with some other programs. after i made a hard reset and left only this program out, everything was running smoothly.
