whenever i set the time and date to the correct one, it always gets de-sync'ed. like it always move ahead 2hours in advance of the time and 1day ahead of the date. i don't know what works.

under Settings>System>Clocks and Alarms, i set it to GMT+8 then the correct date and time. under Settings>System>Clock and Alarms>More, i set the "time zone updating" to automatic. i don't know what i am missing. my laptop to which the unit get sync'ed always had a correct date and time.

at first i thought that it is due to the SPBShell i just installed, but i just did a hard reset and without SPBShell, it still does the same problem.

am i missing something? i know it is possible on computers and you just replace the CMOS battery. does mobile phones have this feature too?

i know it doesn't have somethng to do with the unit, but in case this is expedient for you to diagnose my issue, i am using Samsung SGH-i780 by the way.

pls help.

thanks.

Hi,

If the time and date changes during Active sync, try the link below

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=269244&page=2

Two proposed solutions were provided here but positive result
is not guaranteed.

Good luck
