oh yeah, that was it! but just like the others, can't get the MMS working.. so gave up on it! ahehe! ROTFL

2. type set<space>3G<space>DOPOD838PRO and send to 211

and to activate the gprs

3. type set<space>DOPOD838PRO and send to 211

iirc, these two will just give you instructions on how to setup nokia and se phones for gprs/3g.

to activate, i think it should be GPRS<space>ON then send to 333 also.

ok i just called smart hotline +632-8881111

according to their csr this what i should do:

1. type MMS<space> ON and send to 333

wait for their reply

2. type set<space>3G<space>DOPOD838PRO and send to 211

and to activate the gprs

3. type set<space>DOPOD838PRO and send to 211

not sure about gprs settings but this is according to the csr i talked to and we went through the steps again just to be sure of his answer. i havent tried it yet cause im still testing my unit with my globe number.

well i texted the messages:

MMS ON and GPRS ON and send them to 333. i got a reply saying "service feature is already active. thank you for using our service"

and now im using my gprs. Very Happy

btw can you choose if you want a gprs or 3g connection?

that's great! yep! just tap the signal icon, then settings>> under the tab band, you can choose either UMTS only or GSM+UMTS. but if it were me, i'd leave it to auto since the usage charge is just the same for GPRS or 3G. Wink

Hmmm... I wonder what happened to the post where I put the downloadable cab files for easy PPC configuration...

There are extra entries in the registry that are not seen in the configurations though...

if it's not too much to ask sir carlo, is it possible to start a thread about the settings for the different carriers. that would be very helpful for all ppc owners who don't have autoconfig utility. then make it sticky?

the service is available for gprs and 3g internet browsing.

try this below:
1. auto config by choosing globe network. (after this it will restart ur unit)
2. go to connections, make sure the myGlobe Internet was there.
3.click on manage existing connections and "tap and hold" the myGlobe internet then connect.
4. now you can browse your fave sites.

Note: if this wasnt shows the "myGlobe Internet" on connections after choosing the auto config, the cab files did not setup properly. The other way you can setup this cab file is to hard reset or restore it to default factory settings (back up your files first before doing this), or maybe some of here have cab files for globe network that could help you. have you tried the manual settings already on the first page of this thread? if yes and still you're not able to connect, then try calling globe 211 from your device and have those services activated.
