We've had this thread before so I'm reviving it.

Ever seen a Pocket PC or Smartphone in the movies or tv series? I have!

Just like yesterday, I was able to watch Alias and one of the chicks there used a HP iPAQ 4350 Pocket PC to unlock the safe code.

they use the treo in CSI: NY. they take pictures and send to their head office. it was shown several times during last season. Det. Mercer is th eone who always does it since he is on the field most of the time.

in movies the most disctint one i can remember was the afte explosion scene in Sum of All Fears, where Jack Ryan is trying to reach everyone on his casio pda.

what's the title of that movie with Denzel Washington and Eva Mendes in it? the Compaq iPAQ was used in one of the scenes there.

really? in what scene? can't recall of seeing a jornada there. how we wish a Pocket PC Phone Edition will be used by Bond himself.

Tick tick tick tick tick. Precious seconds are slipping away, and our heroine, the shrewd and disciplined nuclear physicist Dr. Christmas Jones, will be blown to smithereens unless she can defuse a nuclear bomb before detonation. Tick. . . tick. . . tick. She's rocketing down an oil pipeline at 70 miles per hour. Tick. . . tick. Does she depend on her cohort, James Bond, the world's most debonair secret agent, to rescue her from these explosive circumstances? Tick. Not this resourceful woman.

Relying on her knife-edged wits, the plucky nuclear weapons expert whips out her own secret weapon: an HP Jornada Palm-size PC. The slick device made by Hewlett-Packard and powered by the Microsoft Windows CE operating system, is just the cutting-edge tool she needs to diagnose this deadly bomb and find out what makes it, well, tick.

HP's new Jornada 430se demonstrates that it is much more than a personal organizer

a local movie I watched 3 years ago was Bridal Shower. there's a scene where Dina Bonnevie asked her partner "akin na ang Pocket PC ko." note that she didn't mention PDA but the term Pocket PC! it was a Compaq iPAQ that was shown in that film

which movie has the HP iPAQ 5450 in it? the Bourne Identity or the Bourne Supremacy? the iPAQ was used as a fingerprint scanner on the screen, and strangely, not on its built-in scanner!

David-Ruffin,

It was "The Bourne Supremacy"

In the movie, "Sum of all Fears", I remember Ben Affleck(Jack Ryan) using a Cassiopeia(tama ba spelling?) to chat with someone about a Plutonium bomb.
